Hello people of the blog! this is your intrepid host M.L. Bullock. I appreciate your patience with me –I have neglected you for too long! I have had so much going on but my heart has been with you.
I do so love talking to fans of the Seven Sister series; getting to know all of you has been so much fun. An unexpected surprise really! So what have I been doing? Well I've been preparing for my appearance at the Gingham Tree in Lucedale, Mississippi. I will be signing books and meeting local fans . It is my first such event and to say I'm a little nervous is an understatement.
it has been a good year here in the country of George County. Fall has arrived it's a nice cool crisp morning and I can't stop thinking about writing. I have 19 baby chicks on my back porch and the husband is trying to talk me into buying a hog and a cow. I suppose you could call us farmers now. LOL
On another note, I have received my cover back for The Tale of Nefret and I must say, Ana has done a fabulous job. See the cover?
I am so excited about this project. It will be a trilogy, the first I have ever done. Feel free to share this post with anyone that loves Egyptian storytelling. This book is about twin girls, daughters of an ancient Bedouin king, who have an unusual prophecy spoken over them on the night of the birth. Here is the official blurb:
Twin daughters of an ancient Bedouin king struggle under the weight of an ominous prophecy that threatens to divide them forever. Royal sibling rivalry explodes as the young women realize that they must fight for their future and for the love of Alexio, the man they both love. The Tale of Nefret chronicles their lives as they travel in two different directions. One becomes the leader of the Meshwesh while the other travels to Egypt as an unwilling gift to Pharaoh.
I have always loved Egypt! As a kid, I read everything I could get my hands on about this ancient civilization and my love for this land of sand and magic has not waned with age. I hope you love it as much as I do! In this first book, we get to know Nefret and her sister Pah and witness the rise of one. In book two, we'll spend more time in Egypt, in the court actually where there will be plenty of drama and lots of historical highlights.
As a kid, I never wanted to be a superhero but I would have traded all my Barbies to be Nancy Drew. That love for mysteries and a total obsession with ghost stories is what led me to become a writer. I just love a mystery!
I'm a true blue Southern girl who loves living on the Gulf Coast. When I'm not playing the trumpet or hanging out with the people I love, I'm probably daydreaming.
It's really what I do best.
